A choice of four qualifications intended for anyone who is responsible for setting up or managing a Open Learning facility.

 

  1. BTEC Professional Diploma in Managing Open Learning Resources – made up of 8 Units (each of the topic seminars represents 1 unit). 6 Units are mandatory & there are 3 elective Units from which 2 must be chosen. The Diploma entails about 240 hours of work, including the seminar sessions & should be spread over 1 year.

  2. BTEC Advanced Certificate in Open Learning Administration – made up of 4 Units of which 2 are mandatory. There are 3 elective Units from which 2 must be chosen. The Certificate should take approximately 120 hours of work to complete, including the seminar sessions & should be spread over about 6 months.

9 seminars  have been combined into qualifications that have been accredited by Edexcel. The work of a Learning Facility Manager is so multi-dimensional that a person with a particular set of skills & attributes is needed to guide & motivate learners on how to get the most from a learning facility. You will work through real life case studies, analyse the experiences of others & produce a plan that can lead to the successful implementation & management of a facility & it’s resources.

Costs are calculated on a Unit basis per booking form using the following grid:

1 to 4 Units

5+ Units

First Unit £196 5 to 10 Units £160 per unit
Second Unit £176 11 to 15 Units £150 per unit
Third Unit £156 16 to 20 Units £133 per unit
Fourth Unit £156 21+ Units £125 per unit

Costs are exclusive of VAT but do include all training materials, support, registration, refreshments & lunches

* Please note that after purchasing your quantity units you will have two years to allocate personnel to units and book dates.
