The aim
To help people recognise, adapt and enjoy change whenever it happens.
About the
programme Who moved my cheese? is a simple parable that reveals profound truths
about change, based on Dr Spencer Johnson’s best-selling book of the same
name.
This amusing and enlightening story introduces four characters who live in a
'maze' and look for 'cheese' to nourish them and make them happy. Two are
mice named Sniff and Scurry and two are littlepeople - beings the size of
mice who look and act a lot like people. Their names are Hem and Haw. The
'cheese' is a metaphor for what you want to have in life - whether it is a
good job, a loving relationship, money, a possession, health, or spiritual
peace of mind. And the ‘maze' is where you look for what you want - the
organisation you work in, or the family or community you live in.
In the story, the characters are faced with unexpected change. Eventually,
one of the littlepeople deals with it successfully, and writes what he has
learned from his experience on the maze walls. When you come to see the
handwriting on the wall you can discover for yourself how to deal with
change, so that you enjoy less stress and more success (however you define
it) in your work and in your life.
Who moved my cheese? is an inspiring video you can use as a meeting
opener or for wider training to enable everyone in your organisation to find
a better way of succeeding in changing times.
Using the 'cheese' metaphor and language saves time, reduces stress and
gives people an enjoyable way to thrive in times of change. Who moved my
cheese? can be used in large groups to create a common language and
small groups to deal with specific changes. The non-threatening story
reduces resistance and boosts confidence in the change process.

Days of change
An analysis of the
process of change
To provide people with a simple model to help them
analyse their own reactions to change.
About the programme
Although we seem capable of coping with considerable change in our domestic
lives, at work we often display an inability to adjust to new demands and
suffer stress and anxiety.
Based on the ideas of TV and radio counsellor Philip Hodson, Days of change
will help everyone get in touch with the positive, creative and refreshing
aspects of change and overcome the negative ones.
The film looks at the subject from the individual's point of view, helping
them understand their own thoughts, feelings and behaviour, and brings an
appreciation of how others feel when confronted by change. It conveys the
message that through a greater understanding of ourselves and those we work
with it's possible to develop the ability to cope with change and make it work
for us.

The aim
To equip managers with the skills they need to deal with the emotional
response of their staff to change, and to enable change to be implemented
successfully.
About the programme
Change is both normal and constant but is seldom popular. It frequently leads
to resentment, stress and distrust. It need not though. Through the
professional management of change the process can be rewarding and exciting.
The ultimate change show demonstrates the pitfalls of change and how best to
manage it successfully.
The video shows Harry Bailey the host of a well-known talk show, played by
David Soul. Reviewing the archives for Harry's favourite show he shows us how
a girl from the woods ' Snow White ' comes across seven dwarfs living together
in a house. She moves in and starts to make changes that hugely upset the
little guys.
Harry Bailey takes us through six key steps that Snow White could have taken
to manage the change she wanted more successfully ' while linking these to
changes Harry is making to his own show:

About the programme
Jamie Oliver wanted to transform school dinners from processed, ready-made junk
into tastier, more nutritious meals. He also needed to convince dinner ladies,
head teachers, government ministers and thousands of school kids to support this
radical plan. But how can Jamie's school dinners campaign help your organisation
deal with change?
Jamie's School Dinners: A recipe for managing and living with change, a new
2-part programme brings change to life in an easy to understand an inspirational
way. It's broken down into a series of digestible lessons to help you and your
employees, deal with change when it occurs in your own workplace.
Part 1 - A recipe for managing change
Dealing with change is difficult, but managing change is even harder. Part 1
covers four key learning points that will help you manage and deliver a
successfully change process of your own.
Passion-Believing in what you are trying to achieve, and believing you can do
it, is crucial.
People-Everyone reacts to change differently, but there are certain types of
people that can be easily identified, (enthusiasts, gate keepers and resisters).
Planning-When implementing change, careful planning is essential and can
determine whether it will be accepted or not.
Perseverance-With change you can nearly always guarantee resistance so
determination is a must.
Part 2: A recipe for living with change
At some point every single member of your workforce will be confronted with
change. By taking your employees through the four different stages, they'll soon
realise that it doesn't have to bring with it widespread fear and confusion.
Reject it
Whatever the attitude to change - whether unexpected, unwelcome or simply
unwanted - the initial reaction is always the same.
Resist it
'I was right to think that' is the next logical reaction. Any explanation, no
matter how implausible, can be used to rationalise the initial denial.
Reflect on it
At this stage previous judgement begins to be questioned. The mind suddenly
switches on to the possibilities that change might bring.
Resolve it
The challenge and excitement of new opportunities has triumphed over all the
negative perceptions of change.
The benefits
-Engaging way to look at the complex subject of change
-Managers will learn how to introduce change in their organisation
-Individuals will learn how to deal with change when it occurs
-Suitable for all levels of staff across the organisation
